InterNetX wins the eco Internet Award with DomainShop

(Cologne – Regensburg, June 28, 2013) – DomainShop from InterNetX was distinguished with the eco Internet Award in the category "Domain & DNS" at the eco Gala 2013 in Cologne. The gala took place on Thursday evening in the congress center KölnSKY. The expert IT jury honored DomainShop as the best-developed solution for the introduction of new gTLDs in 2013/2014, stating, "DomainShop is the most comprehensive e-commerce solution on the market for domain resellers and is the answer to the many challenges. Now the new TLDs can start." With this award, InterNetX won over two other nominated solutions to take first prize. This is the third award that DomainShop has received since its launch just a few weeks ago.

"We’re overwhelmed by the positive resonance we’ve received for DomainShop so far. This product is the result of long-standing experience as an international registrar and is rounded off by the excellent InterNetX services. The result is a solution that enables nTLD registries to enter the domain and hosting market on a competitive basis. Receiving the renowned eco Internet Award presents yet another highlight in the continuing success story of our development. It demonstrates that we’ve struck the right chord with our latest product", says Hakan Ali, InterNetX founder.

DomainShop is a fully automated domain and hosting platform for new gTLD registries and domain resellers with which users can offer their customers domain registration under a wide range of gTLDs and ccTLDs as well as domain preregistration under the new gTLDs. What makes DomainShop particularly attractive is that the entire infrastructure as well as support, billing and payment tools are provided in the background by InterNetX. Users can therefore focus resources on marketing and sales channels. DomainShop is the ideal solution for new gTLD applicants to operate sales of their domain endings themselves.

This year marked the 13th time that the eco Internet Award was given to visionary products, services or solutions in the IT branch. Prizes were awarded in nine different categories and one special category. This is the second time that InterNetX has received this distinguished award. InterNetX won the eco Internet Award in the category "Registrar" in 2011 - when the jury honored the extensive selection of top-level domains as well as the excellent support services provided by the Regensburg-based registrar.

InterNetX takes first prize with DomainShop at the HOSTING AND SERVICE PROVIDER SUMMIT 2013

(Frankfurt, May 8, 2013) – The InterNetX DomainShop was awarded first prize ahead of other nominees in the category “Domain Services” at theHOSTING AND SERVICE PROVIDER SUMMIT 2013. The white label shop system has already established itself on the market and impressed the expert jury with its innovative features and unique range of functions. Running over 2 days from May 2 to 3, this year’s annual event took place at the Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt, where decision-makers gathered to distinguish the most promising developments in the domain and hosting industry.

DomainShop is a white label e-commerce solution that enables operators to offer their customers domain registration for more than 300 ccTLDs and gTLDs as well as preregistration for new gTLDs. With DomainShop, users are able to set up an individual online store to provide domains, hosting products, email services and website builder. InterNetX provides the complete infrastructure, as well as tools for support, billing and payment, allowing DomainShop users to set up shop on the market quickly and concentrate on marketing and sales activities. This makes DomainShop an all-round store solution for new gTLD applicants and domain resellers.

“We’re extremely pleased about the distinction with the renowned HOSTING AND SERVICE PROVIDER AWARD for our DomainShop! With the introduction of new gTLDs, we’re convinced that DomainShop provides the optimal solution for new gTLD applicants and domain resellers to sell their own domain endings. A number of new gTLD applicants are already using DomainShop to offer their TLDs”, says Hakan Ali, founder of InterNetX.

The gradual introduction of new gTLDs is starting in 2013. There are currently over 1,400 unique applications for new generic top-level domains. This will increase the name space fivefold and domain names already taken will become openly available under new gTLDs. International companies like Google, Amazon or Microsoft have applied for own endings. Experts are therefore expecting an enormous surge in demand on the domain market.

DomainShop: InterNetX new development awarded "BEST OF 2013" seal

The Initiative Mittelstand has distinguished the company InterNetX for its new development “DomainShop”. The online platform allows users to sell domain, hosting and SSL products as well as a website builder via an online shop. In light of the upcoming introduction of new gTLDS, the e-commerce solution will provide support for many start-ups in the domain industry.

(Regensburg, April 25, 2013) – The InterNetX “DomainShop” was awarded the seal “BEST OF 2013” for the INNOVATIONSPREIS-IT (IT innovation prize). The adjustable e -commerce solution for new gTLD providers and domain resellers convinced the jury in the category “E-Business”. After successfully completing the beta phase, DomainShop has already been rolled out for several customers and is been operating successfully as a tested solution.

The schedule for the introduction of new gTLDs was confirmed at the 46th ICANN Meeting in Peking. The domain industry is therefore facing one of the most significant changes in Internet history. In addition to existing registries like Afilias (.INFO domains) and DENIC (.DE domains), numerous new registries will soon be appearing. For domain providers, this opens up new business opportunities, but also holds significant challenges. Developed internally at InterNetX, DomainShop provides a flexible shop solution that enables quick entry to this new market – and has therefore been rewarded with the “BEST OF 2013” seal by the Initiative Mittelstand.

“We’re extremely pleased about this renowned award for our future-oriented product. DomainShop is a powerful provider solution for anybody wanting to step into the domain and hosting business with the introduction of new gTLDs. The provider can concentrate completely on marketing and selling his products – we look after the technical side and also, if requested, the support,” says Hakan Ali, InterNetX founder.

DomainShop customers get a fully developed shop solution and only need to add their own individual design. The complex back-end is mapped to an easy-to-understand and user-friendly interface, where the user can define his product range autonomously. Apart from reservations under the new domain endings, DomainShop operators can also offer other optional products like hosting packages, a website builder, email services and much more.
